New car market in Uzbekistan: dynamics for January-May 2025
According to the results of the first five months of 2025, a total of 137,273 new cars were sold in the country. This is 7.6% less than in the same period in 2024. Despite the overall decrease, trends in different directions are observed in the structure of sales.

— Main changes by month:
- The largest decrease was observed in May: -20.3% compared to the same month last year;
- A short-term increase was recorded in April: +22.9% compared to April 2024;
- Despite fluctuations in monthly figures, the overall downward trend in sales volumes is maintained.
— Segment structure:
Sales outside the popular segments (A, B and LCV) amounted to 38,878 units. This is +2.2% more than in the same period last year, indicating a gradual shift in demand to higher classes.
— Distribution by brand:
- Chevrolet retains its leadership with a share of 81.5%;
- Kia has a share of 6.7%, BYD has a share of 5.7%;
- Brands such as Chery (2.5%), Haval (2.1%), Jetour (0.2%) have a small share, but some of them show a growth trend.

- Kia: +56.6%
- BYD: +38.9%
- Chery: +14.1%
- Haval: +389.1%
- Zeekr: +140%
- Opel: +39.5%
We are observing a decline against the background of a high base in previous years. We will monitor the dynamics in the second half of the year, which will allow us to more accurately assess the overall trend.
